Carolina Waste & Recycling, LLC and its affiliates (collectively, the “Company”) own or control various websites. This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors and users of the websites owned or controlled by the Company.  We provide this website privacy policy to help you understand what information we collect from you online and how it is used when you use one of our sites.

Information Collection and Use

Personally identifiable information means any information that is associated with your personal identity such as name, age, address, telephone number, user ID, password, e-mail address, billing or payment information, credit card or debit card information, bank information, and communication records. You may make changes to the personally identifiable information that you provide by following the instructions on the sites.

In addition, we automatically collect IP addresses and website usage information from you when you visit our sites. This information helps us evaluate how our visitors and customers use and navigate our websites, including the number and frequency of visitors and subscribers to each website and the length of their visits. We use third party service providers to collect and analyze this information to determine which pages are viewed, how visitors use and navigate through our sites, and the number of visits and time spent on the sites. This analysis is used to improve the content of our sites, and for other internal business purposes. If IP addresses or website usage information is ever connected to personally identifiable information, our use and disclosure of it will be done in accordance with the "Use of Personally Identifiable Information" section below.

We do not knowingly collect, use, or maintain personal information from users who are under 16 years old.

This information is shared between the Company and its affiliates who are responsible for providing waste collection and disposal services to you so that they may communicate with you directly regarding your service and related matters.

In addition to third party service providers providing services for us, the personally identifiable information we collect may be shared with and disclosed to unaffiliated third parties: (1) when it is necessary for completing or servicing the transactions you have authorized, including, but not limited to, providing such information to credit card or debit card processors, data processors, or mailing services; (2) when you consent to us sharing the information; (3) to verify the existence or condition of your account with a financial institution, credit bureau or other third-party; (4) when it is permitted or required by law, including but not limited to responding to a court order or compliance with any regulatory authority; (5) when it is provided to third-parties under a joint marketing agreement as permitted by law; (6) to protect the Company’s rights or property; (7) in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business assets or merge with another company or are involved in a business  reorganization or other change of control, your personally identifiable information may be one of the business assets transferred, shared or sold as part of the transaction; or (8) we may disclose personally identifiable information without your consent if we believe, in our sole discretion, it is reasonable to do so to satisfy laws or government regulations, comply with legal process or law enforcement requests, commence legal actions for violation of our website user agreement, or to protect the Company’s rights or property.

Except as provided above or when necessary to provide your personally identifiable information to our service providers to perform services for us, the Company will not trade, sell, or share your personally identifiable information.

Use of Cookies and Other Information Tracking Technologies

To improve your visit to the sites, we may use cookies. Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive so we can recognize you when you return. They do not contain personal or financial information and they are not permanently stored for future use. Cookies or other information tracking technologies are not used to follow the Internet usage of visitors once they leave any of the sites.

We may also use Pixel Tags (also known as Web beacons, Web bugs, and Clear GIFs) on the Sites and in emails. A Pixel Tag is a nearly invisible pixel-sized graphic image on a web page or in an email message. Pixel Tags may be used to collect the same information about your visit that is collected through Cookies, as noted above. Pixel Tags in emails help us confirm the receipt of, and response to, our emails, and the time our email is viewed. In addition, we may collect information related to when and where you "click-through" in an email to one of our Sites. All of this information helps us personalize your experiences and improve our sites and emails.

If information collected by Cookies or other information tracking technologies is ever connected to personally identifiable information, our use and disclosure of it will be done in accordance with the "Use of Personally Identifiable Information" section above.

We use physical, administrative, and technical controls to secure the personally identifiable information that we maintain. While we attempt to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent third-party "hackers" from illegally obtaining this information. The Company is not responsible for any breach of its security or for the actions of any third parties that may obtain any personal information. You are prohibited from violating or attempting to violate security for or otherwise interfering with the operation of the sites. You may not access information not intended for your use or access.
